The definitive version of one of Rainbows career highlights, this digitally Remastered and expanded deluxe 2 CD edition of the 1977 live album features a bonus disc of an unreleased concert recorded in Japan from the Deep Purple archives.

Recorded at a concert in Tokyo on February 24th, 1973, this amazing performance gives fans a rare opportunity to witness the band at the peak of their creative powers and to witness the amazing keyboard skills of Jon Lord. The Deluxe 2 CD set includes an expanded mix of the album and a bonus disc that features the entire concert. The only concert ever recorded by Deep Purple, Jon Lord makes his solo debut on this landmark recording. Lord's playing is highly influenced by jazz, with his fluid, soaring melodies recalling the artistry of Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea.

The 2011 release of this live album was the only release of an official live performance and was issued as a stand-alone edition. The Deluxe edition of this new release contains 2 CDs, a 32 page booklet and a download card for the bonus disc.

It features a myriad of highlights, including their best known hits My Sharona, Run Like Hell, Fortuna, Hey You, and Stairway to Heaven.
