For even more technically inclined, opening an Analyzer window will show scopes, image statistics, metadata and other useful items. To help you overcome a creative block there is the Look Manager, which contains a ton of presets, and on top of that both curves tabs have the Randomize button, which can also produce interesting results.
This course further develops the skills and concepts introduced in ART 300. It covers the relationships between formal elements such as line, shape, color, texture, value, perspective, and spatial relationships. It emphasizes the creative use of materials. It also includes critiques of student, historical, and contemporary works of art including works in all major genres with a conscious inclusion of artists representing Black, African American, Latinx, Native American, Asian American and Pacific Islander, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Virtual and or in-person field trips may be required.
This course introduces basic techniques and materials of painting. It includes the survey of historical and contemporary development of painting with emphasis on perceptual and technical skills, such as, color theory, paint mixing and technique, and creative responses to materials and subject matter. Field trips may be required.

Kuler and Live Color allow you to modify organized collections of colors with very practical control. If you're a creative color pro, you need to explore a variety of schemes and variations on schemes within your compositions. Live Color makes it possible to explore the effect many different schemes within your Illustrator design in a hurry.
This course covers studio problems in the use and understanding of color and its application to works of art, interior design and graphics, basics of color theory, and color interchange. It also includes image and composition as related to the use of color both functionally and creatively. Field trips may be required.
