Currently using Windows Defender (!) and McAfee Anti-Virus. Anyway, so far it's working well. Thanks Microsoft for locking down your operating system. I would be less annoyed if it was actually secure.
Note: I am not associated with the school or any of the vpn providers used in this post. I found this issue myself when I upgraded to Windows 10. I was able to get around the problem, but I'm sure many people are seeking a similar solution.
EDIT: I've downloaded the Windows 10 L2TP VPN client that IIT has a link for and tested it out. It works as expected, so I have an alternate work around for now. We will continue to search for a solution to build-in L2TP VPN until Microsoft can deliver a fix.
I just confirmed that the build-in Windows L2TP VPN client now works as expected. IIT was able to add this for Windows 10 and Windows Server 08 and 16. This info will be posted on the Microsoft KB page shortly.
It seems like building-in L2TP VPN would be a good enough solution for us. It is a shame as we have a lot of windows users who will need this functionality. I hope Microsoft will work on this issue.
Thanks for the recommendation! I was able to get Secure Shell VPN working for my Windows 10 system. To connect I just need to enter the network name of my VPN and not the VPN username and password.
I have a SketchUp Pro 2017 license on my Windows 10 Home and a SketchUp Pro 2016 license on my Windows 8.1. I used to be able to download more than one file per license from 3D Warehouse at the same time. Now I can only download one at a time and I cannot download more than one SketchUp Pro 2017 license... any idea?
