Crack users are more likely to smoke the drug in public than users of powder cocaine and heroin. A study published in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence in 1998, reported that drug users were more likely to take crack in public places. They found that users of crack were almost twice as likely to smoke the drug in public places as users of heroin or powder cocaine, and about three times more likely to smoke the drug in public places than users of powder cocaine.
